What Does It Take to Be a Guardian Home? 🐾
Guardian homes are an incredibly special and important part of our small breeding program. They allow us to keep our program intentionally small while ensuring our dogs receive the individual love, attention, and care they deserve as cherished family members.
As a guardian home, you have the opportunity to welcome one of our puppies into your family for a very minimal fee. Your puppy will grow up right alongside you, enjoying all the love and adventures of being a family dog.
When your girl reaches the appropriate age and has successfully completed all required health clearances and testing, she may become part of our breeding program. We retain breeding rights and work closely with you throughout the process. She will come to us for her planned breeding and to raise her litter or two, then return home to her family.
The best part? You get an incredible companion to love and enjoy for a lifetime, and we get the opportunity to welcome a litter or two of beautiful puppies into the world.
It's truly a partnership built on trust, communication, and, most importantly, a shared love for these dogs. Our guardian families make it possible for us to do what we love while always putting our dogs first.
What does being a guardian home involve?
A loving home: Our dogs must be first and foremost cherished family pets. They will live indoors, be included in family activities, and receive plenty of love and attention.
A commitment to health: Guardian families agree to provide routine veterinary care, maintain vaccinations, and follow recommended health and wellness guidelines.
Health testing: When your girl reaches the appropriate age, she will complete the required health clearances and testing before being considered for our breeding program.
Breeding commitments: Once she is approved, we retain breeding rights and coordinate with you for planned breedings and litters. We work closely with our guardian families to make the process as smooth as possible.
Communication and cooperation: We ask that our guardian families maintain open communication and be willing to work with us on scheduling appointments, health testing, breeding arrangements, and whelping plans.
Transportation and availability: Families must be able to accommodate transportation to and from our home or veterinary appointments when needed.
